328.Benjamin Tenney was born on Jan 9 1761 in Rowley, MA.(4) He died in 1826.(4)

From Swett-Allen, pg. 111:

"Benjamin Tenney, son of Oliver and Betty (Jewett) Tenney, was born in Rowley, Ma.,, January 9, 1761; married March 18, 1783, Lydia Jackman of Byfield. Benjamin Tenney served three years, 1777-1780 in Colonel Putnam's regiment as a private in Captian Job Whipple's company, roll dated 22, April 1779. Served from January 1, 1780 to March 1780, (Army Roll)". Residence Weare where he paid taxes from 1788 to 793, inclusive. His wife died June 1, 1843. Benjamin Tenney died in 1826.

Ibid, pg. 183:

"Benjamin Tenney, private, in Capt. John Pearson's Co., Lt. Col. Putnam's Regt., enlisted September 16, 1781, discharged Dec. 8, 1781, service 3 months, 4 days including 12 days (240 miles) travel home, regiment raised in Essex and Plymouth Counties to reinforce Continental Army for 3 months. Roll sworn to at Newburyport. (Massachusettes Soldiers and Sailors)."

He was married to Lydia Jackman on Mar 18 1783 in Weare, NH. (4) "Reseidence Weare, N.H. where he paid taxes from 1888-1793, inclusive."

329. Lydia Jackman was born on Sep 1 1764 in Byfield, MA. She died on Jun 1 1843.
