TWELFTH GENERATION
Married in 1677 in Dedham, MA.(4)

2660. Joseph Rice was born about 1637.  The Deacon's 8th child and final child to be born in England.  He was about 1 when the family sailed to Mass. This led to his precipitous weaning, that and the fact that yet another Rice was born on the voyage.  He died after 1684.

From by the name of Rice:

"...[Joseph] had 4 wives; not simultaneously nor contemporaneously, but quite continuously....Like a good Democrat he mairried early and often...In rapid succession we find his wives to be 1. Mercy, 2. Martha, 3. Mary and 4. Sarah."

There is a longer section about him, but I will have to transcribe it when I have a bit more time.  It is hilarious.

In any case, Joseph's total output was impressive, but I can't tell exactly which ones (other than Jonathan) are Sarahs as well.
