Francis Price Judge Francis Price was born Sept 13, 1741. In his 63 years, he filled many prominent positions, such as Judge of the County in 1789 and 1794. As was common in those days he performed many marriages and left some curious items. A certain William Booth owed him (1791) 2 pounds 5s 7d. Under the account is written, "William Booth shall not be sued for the above balance nor any action brought against him for it because he is a poor man." Dec 26 1791 Then I married Timothy Gustin, and Elizabeth How (Hough) Judge Price gave in 1804 to his grandson Francis Gustin father of John S a family bible with the records of births deaths and marriages of his family written in his own hand. Judge Price died April 8 1804 The record of the Price family is taken from the bible given by Judge Price to his grandson Francis Gustin. Others: 3 gr-sons, Francis, Thomas & John GUSTIN, Jr., s/o Esther by John GUSTIN; Francis GOBLE s/o dau Azubah; Francis PRICE s/o Zachariah PRICE; Francis SOUTHWORT s/o William SOUTHWORT; Francis ACKERS s/o Albert ACKERS; Francis STULL oldest s/o dau Elisabeth; John STULL and Abraham STULL sons/o dau Elisabeth; sister, Jerusha DEWITT w/o Isaac; Ambrose SKUREMAN "a boy of color". Executors: William A. RYERSON, Peter DEWITT and brother, Zachariah PRICE. Witnesses: George GUSTIN, Esther STULL and Isaac PRICE. He appears to have been remarried to "Anne." He is buried at Frankford Plains Cemetary. |
Esther Dunn* Esther died July 12 1774 Several sources list her as Esther, I was only able to find the name Dunn on Familysearch.com. The wedding is listed as being about 1760. |
