142. Albert Coles. Albert Coles was a renowned and prolific silvermaker, whose works are heavily collectable and very popular today at auctions. Chapters are written about "Coles Silver" in books on American silvermaking. I found this blurb at silvermaking.com:

Albert Coles Mark Albert Coles was a New York City Silversmith from the 1830's to the 1870's. His dies were eventually purchased by George W. Shiebler. His work can be found in both coin and sterling. This three-part mark consists of an eagle, Cole's initials "A/C" and a head facing right.
He was married to Catherine Harris.
