Alexander MacQueen (later
McQuinn) was born in Scotland on March 24, 1837. He immigrated to Nova
Scotia as a child with his family and in 1853 came to the US as a young
man. He was a day laborer, then teamster, then farmer. In 1877, he was naturalized as a citizen. According to the online archives
from the Ellsworth American* he died at Bar Harbor on Aug. 25,
1889:

Jane Tredic(k), daughter of
William Tredick (1808?) and Mary Thompson was born in
Milo Maine Jun 16th,
1841, was married 2 months after her 15th birthday on 24
Aug 1855 in Milo to Alexander McQuinn. The 1900 census indicates that after Alex died, Jane went to live with her daughter Isabelle and Isabelle's husband. She died 27 Jul 1909 in Hartland, ME, and is buried in Juniper Cemetary in Ellsworth Falls, Maine, with her husband. |
