All "William Rasp, Meig Co., OH"

William married Sarah Margaret "Sallie" Circle in 1893.
He was son of Conrad and Catherine Theiss Wesel Rasp.
He lived from 1869 to 1914.

*****************
Rasp's from Heuchelheim is between Beidersheim & Dirmstein.
Conrad Rasp brother to George b 1812, William b 1815, George b 1819 all in Heuchelheim.
They orginated from Johann Wilhelm Rasp, from Offstein & Katharina Margaretha Schreiber.
Johann Wilhelm Rasp went to HEUCHELHEIM in 1766.

****************

One Heuchelheim is a city in the former Palatine, today Rhineland-Palatine.
A second one is located in Lower Franconia, Bavaria and was part of the Palatine up to the end of the Napoleon wars around 1815.
Maybe one of the Rasp from Lower Franconia went to Offstein in the beginning of 1700.

****************

Conrad Rasp who was born in 1812 in Heuchelheim and was a brother to George b 1819, along w/their brother William born 1815 and Susanna b 1822 all came to Meigs Co. Ohio probably around the late 1840's.

Their parents were Maria Magdalena Blanck and Philipp Rasp bother born in Heuchelheim.

Then Philipp was one of the children of Johann Wilhelm Rasp from Offstein and Katharina Margaretha Schreiber.

Philipp and Maria Magdalena both died in Heuchelheim, Philipp in 1884 and Maria in 1881. They were married in 1804.

Question is this line of Rasp/Raspe are descended from the Henry Raspe who was a pretender as the Emperor of the Hly Roman Empire in the 1300's?

****************

Conrad was the brother of George Rasp. They immigrated from Heuchelheimn, Rheiland/Pfalz, Bayern, Preussen.
There were 4 of them that came.
George Rasp was killed in a coalmining accident in Meigs Co.
The Rasp ancestry goes back to 1717 in Heuchelheim and there are 3 microfilm in LDS files of the Meig area.
The emailer has an article about Sarah, b 1870 d 1934 daught of John and Sophia Strohmeyer Circle. She married William in 1893. Catharine, who married Conrad, was a widow of Wesal and her maiden mane was Theiss.
They, William and Sarah lived on Snowball Hill in Sutton Township. They attended church at Nease Settlement.
William died in 1914 leaving Sallie to raise their children. She picked berries and hung wallpaper to suppliment the income.
All the above info has been varified from microfilms and birth records.

There's a website in Germany of the Krekemeyer family that includes all the Rasp's in Heuchelheim and Freinsheim.
The site is http://www.krekemeyer.purespace.de/14.htm
