"Rev. Zecheriah Whitman, son of John and Ruth Whitman, was born at Weymouth,
Ma. in 1644 and died on November 5, 1726. He graduated at Harvard in 1668 and
began preaching at Hull, Ma. on September 13, 1670 at a salary of 40 pounds.
Soon after he married Sarah Alcock, daughter of Dr. John Alcock. At the death
of his uncle, the Rev. Zecheriah Whitman of Milford, Ct., for whom he was named,
he obtained most of his estate. He continued his ministry at Hull till he died,
a very unusual occurrence."
He was married to Sarah Alcock about 1670.(4)
2665. Sarah Alcock
was born about May 26 1650. She died on Apr 3 1715. Children were:
