Joseph Porter then Jospeh Perkins| Amos Dorman Sr. was born (1671), married (1702), and died (between 1748 when he wrote his will and 1752 when it was proved), in Topsfield, Massachusetts. He was involved in the local militia but in 1724, he became the schoolteacher of Topsfield. His will left his personal property to his widow Dorothy Robinson Dorman and devided his real estate between his two sons Amos Jr. and Thomas. Monetary Bequests were made to his daughters. |
Roxana Grover Dorothy Robinson was also born (1682), married (1702) and died (1752) in Topsfield. Interestingly, they wrote their wills in the same year and the wills were proved in the same year. Dorothy was 10 years younger, at 71. |
